slipping away with Ragnar

Sinric leads Ragnar into the bathrooms, glancing around to see if anyone is around before slipping into one of the stalls and closing the door behind them.

"Do you want me to paint your prick with my lips or lift my skirts and take me standing?" He asks with a list-filled purr.

Jay shrugs. "Even as someone who's been dead, I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer that. It would be an easy thing to believe, standing under that dome."

Sinric gives Jay a sideways look, not understanding what he just said but not sure how to react.

"You have been dead and aren't now?" Ragnar asks.

"Pretty much. Long story, none of which makes sense, even to me." He waves it away. "But if you do get a chance to see the Hargia Sophia in it hayday, do it."

"I will go with Athelstan, one day..." Ragnar says. "Hopefully."

"When you are together again, I will take you gladly." Sinric promises, taking Ragnar's hand.

"We would love to see it," Ragnar says. "But we might go in our own time, too."

"Oh, yes. Of course." Sinric looks abashed, as if suddenly in the way. "You can tell me how the city fairs."

"We will," Ragnar says. "Or you might come with us, if we manage to find you."

Pause.

"I must stop doing politics and start doing what I wanted once more -- exploring! And I'll take the two of you, if I can, once the rest of my life can take care of each other again. All this has rather escalated, and pushes me further and further from what I wanted in my life."

Sinric carefully takes the little ship from Ragnar and sets it down before gathering Ragnar in his arms and kissing him deeply. He looks up into those powerful blue eyes as he strokes his beloved's cheek.

"That's why he's suffering so much," Ragnar whispers into the kiss, "because of my being side-tracked into politics and the big picture. Because of me. I want him free of that, and I want you with us."

"Then when you have him back and safe in your arms, come look for me. As I will be looking for you. And we will be together again in the proper order."

"Yes," Ragnar says. "Please!"

Sinric kisses him again. "Come, let us share that bath now and leave the machine people to their peace."

He glances over to Jay who is busy working on something on the other side of the workshop. "Thank you for showing us these wonderful things."

Jay gives them a little salute. "You're both welcome here any time."

"Thank you," Ragnar says. "We will be back."
