Sinric leads Ragnar into the bathrooms, glancing around to see if anyone is around before slipping into one of the stalls and closing the door behind them.

"Do you want me to paint your prick with my lips or lift my skirts and take me standing?" He asks with a list-filled purr.

"Yes," Ragnar says. "The dove is a symbol of the holy ghost of his faith, as the raven is Odin's bird. The fish is another symbol, but that design would refer to our beginnings - me stealing a monk for myself."

"The ikhthýs, yes." Sinric nods. "I see. I like that. Would you do it for me? And where do you think is best? It can't be... too large. And I can't have it until my lord is gone."

"I'll think of something beyond catching him," Ragnar says, "as we've grown far beyond that. You might have it on your lower bellies, so only your lovers see it, except from us. And small enough to cover up with pint before the encounter with one young Viking with big ideas."

He takes Ragnar's hand an lowers it to his hip, to the flat of his belly just above his pubis. "Here?"

Ragnar's hand is rough and warm, and describes a rough circle over Sinric's belly.

"Yes, there," he says. "Perhaps even a bit lower, and to the right or left."

"Here?" He guides Ragnar's hand onto the very top of his thigh. "How large would it need to be?"

"Here," Ragnar says, touching a bit higher again, right beside the soft dip between Sinric's thigh and pubis. "And just two inches across, at the most."

Sinric sighs warmly. "I would like that, very much. Does it hurt very greatly? Perhaps Athelstan will help me to be still as you do."

"A little," Ragnar says. "Not very greatly. And of course he would help. He wants one as well -- a little raven over his heart."

Sinric smiles warmly and leans up to steal a kiss. "How very perfect. Will you have a dove to match?"

A kiss is gladly given.

"You know," he says, "that is an excellent idea."

"Will Athelstan mark you so or will do it yourself? That can not be easy?" He keeps Ragnar's hand on his hip, relishing the warmth against his cool skin.

"I haven't considered yet," Ragnar says, moving his hand on Sinric's hip in warm, gentle circles. "It's probably better not to ask one of the people at home who can do that. We should do it together."

The touch is soothing as well as warming. "Perhaps there is someone here who has the skills to do it for you? So you need not explain the meaning if you do not wish to."

"The forge Goth's girlfriend does it," Ragnar says. "She has done his tattoo -- four cats fighting a dragon, very neat work. She has modern machines, though, that hardly hurt at all."

"Then perhaps when the time comes, we three can be marked together." He reached up to cup Ragnar's cheek, kissing him softly. The gesture may move Ragnar's hand just a little over on his thigh.

"I am sure she would do that," Ragnar says. "She makes many things, apart from tattoos -- clothes, wooden toys, lovely rooms."

"She sounds very talented." Sinric smiles, setting back into Ragnar's arms. "I should like to meet her." He pulls the furs a little tighter around them both, his skin growing cool in the night air.

"She is a bit shy, and often gone to her world," Ragnar says. "I only know about her and her work because Teja often speaks about her. But I'm sure she'd find time for the three of us."

Sinric nods and nuzzles Ragnar's neck. "Then I will have a mark I can touch, see, to show how this place is a part of me."

"That reminds you of us when we are far away," Ragnar says.

"Yes." He leans up to look into Ragnar's eyes. "You and Athelstan give me a path. I future I had no reason to hope for. When the last lights leave my beloved Constantine's eyes, my life as Aureus will end and that future you have given me as Sinric will begin."

He kisses Ragnar slowly, pressing his hand over that warm stretch of flesh that will one day bear their mark. "This will be my north star."

Ragnar holds him close. "That you will travel north by," he murmur, kissing him back, "and one day find me, young and clueless."

"In a tavern in Ribe, I will find," He whispers between kisses, "a sweet young farmer to entice with stories of far off lands and the treasures they hold." He shifts to kneel over Ragnar, thigh pressed against thigh.

"You will," Ragnar whispers back, "and send him on the journey of his life."
