Sinric leads Ragnar to his own small room rather than their shared space. There's something more... intimate about it. And it reminds him less of the emptiness where Athelstan should be.

He pulls Ragnar close, lacing his arms around Ragnar's waist and pushes up on his toes to kiss him.

"I was so young and naive!" Ragnar says, shaking his head. "You'll be so amused."

"I shall be sure to be gentle with you." Sinric grins, stroking Ragnar's cheek.

"You were," Ragnar says. "And you knew uncannily well what I like. Well, uncanny to me."

"Ah. So this-" he kisses Ragnar's throat, ghosting a hand over his chest. "Is all practice for our first meeting. Tell me, Ragnar? Will I be your first man?"

"Well, apart from youthful fumbling and threesomes, yes," Ragnar admits.

Everybody does those, right?

"Ah, so I won't come as too much of a surprise."

How the hell would Sinric know? His sexual education wasn't exactly average.

"Well," Ragnar says. "You are unique, and were delightfully surprising."

"Then I shall enjoy making the younger you wonder how a stranger can touch him just so." Sinric smiles warmly. "But I hope we will have many meetings and partings before then."

"So do I," Ragnar says, stretching beside him and pulling him closer.

Sinric cuddles close, tucking his head under Ragnar's chin. He doesn't ask Ragnar to stay. He knows he doesn't have to. He knows that Ragnar won't leave his side tonight. And that warms him to the core.

Indeed -- Ragnar holds him in his arms as he drifts off to doze.

Sinric stays awake a while longer, trying to make the most of this and no dwell on how long it might be before he's held like this again.

Little by little, he drifts off too, safe in Ragnar's embrace.
