Sinric leads Athelstan back to their room, stopping at the bar to have a quiet word with the bar before they go. When they arrive in their rooms, the bed has been spread with a large, warm bear-fur and draped with silk. There are candles on the table, at bedside, on the windowsill, bathing the room in soft, warm light.

Sinric smiles and leads Athelstan towards the bed. "This night is for you, beloved Athelstan. We'll go only as far as you're ready for."

Sinric nods, running his gently hands over Athelstan's skin. "Then I hope you'll let me touch you all over? Let me cover your skin with my kisses. I want to wash away their shadows with my touch."

"Yes", Athelstan whispers. "Every inch touched with love."

Sinric nods and kisses him very softly before moving down to Athelstan's chest. He caresses Athelstan's chest, chasing lines of kisses over the firm muscles and soft skin. He's very, very thorough, leaving no inch of Athelstan's chest untouched or kissed.

Athelstan lies back carefully, his fingers tracing repetitive patterns on Sinric's skin, and gives all his attention to Sinric's mouth and hands on him.

Sinric works his way lower, exploring the planes and curves of Athelstan's stomach, tracing the shape of his abs with his lips.

He makes a sound of pleasure, almost a whimper, and his fingers tighten on Sinric's thigh.

Sinric takes Athelstan's hands, guiding them up to his hair as he kisses his way down to Athelstan's hips. He stays away from Athelstan's groin for now. Instead he nuzzles the curve of his upper thighs, making sure Athelstan's okay with this.

If that's where Sinric wants his hands now, that's where they'll be, and Athelstan tries to be gentle with Sinric's hair.

He murmurs the younger man's name, and doesn't make him stop even as his lips touch fading bruises.

Sinric is even more gentle with the bruises but he makes sure he covers them with kisses. He wants there to be a memory of pleasure to replace the memory of pain.

The two mingle together, even with Sinric being as gentle as possible, but the pleasure is much greater than the small pain.

"Thank you", Athelstan whispers.

Sinric smiles up at him and kiss his way lower, exploring Athelstan's thighs and calves. He kisses his way down to Athelstan's ankles, alternating between his legs.

He looks up at Athelstan before pressing a single butterfly kiss over the scars on his feet.

Athelstan gasps sharply at that - the wounds are still very sensitive, not even close to fully healed, but he's never felt such a gentle touch there and it's near to overwhelming.

Sinric eases up to nuzzle Athelstan's ankles, soothing him through the feeling as he stokes his hands up and down Athelstan's legs.

The muscles there are looser than they were thanks to Sinric's efforts, but he couldn't undo the effects of all the strain that's been put on them lately.

Athelstan tips his head to look down at him, fingertips combing through Sinric's hair.

Better is a start and Sinric can work on even better in the morning. For now, his touch is light as he works his way back up with gentle kisses and soft touches to Athelstan's lips. "Will you permit me to kiss your arms, beloved?"

"I will", he murmurs, then adds a nervous caveat, "but best not to hold my wrists."

Sinric nods, I understanding the need for that addendum. He kisses over Athelstan's shoulders and down one arm slowly, pressing his lithe little body against Athelstan's chest as he does. Everywhere there are are bruises, he treats with loving care. He supports Athelstan's hand with care, kissing the tip of each finger before planning a single sweet kiss in the centre of his palm.

Athelstan's hands slide down through Sinric's long hair on to his back, pressing him gently closer.

The attention to his wound brings a soft sound from him again.

Sinric treats his wounds with reverence and care, trying to print a happy memory of gentle touches and the brush of Sinric's soft lips.

For his part, Athelstan tries to memorise every moment of this, every little scrap of pleasant sensation.

Sinric brings Athelstan's wounded hand to his cheek, brushing against it like a cat before kissing the tip of his thumb in a way that tends to bring heat to a man.

He lets go, easing Athelstan's hand back to the furs and returns to kiss his lips warmly.

Athelstan's eyes are wide, his pupils dilated, and he returns the kiss.

"Sinric. If you want to... your shift..."

"Yes." Sinric whispers, his hands moving to the hem of his shift. "I'd like very much to feel your skin against mine. To feel the soft fur on my body." He slides easily out of the light shift, showing off his lithe body.

Athelstan isn't hard, despite the other signs of arousal, but perhaps Sinric can still help that along. If Athelstan's state of health allows.

He reaches out to run his fingertips down Sinric's sides. "Come and lie with me?"

Sinric purrs and slides in along side Athelstan. His creamy skin is almost flawless but for the scar on his back and inner thigh from the attack. All the rest of him is pale and smooth and warm as he presses against Athelstan.

He kisses Athelstan's neck against, laying his arms gently around his friend.
