Sinric lead Hannibal out of a doorway and into the warm light of spring afternoon. He cranes to look up, following the line of the wall and the buildings. "We're in the right place. The bath should be just through there."

He points to a alley that leads out the road and the grand entrance to the bath houses. "It is small by some standards. Only large enough for thirty or forty people. Many of the greater baths have closed for the cost to keep them is very high and many wealthy households have smaller bathes of their own."

"Not yet?" He asks softly, soft and plient to the touch. "You sound very much like two halves of the one whole, waiting to complete the other."

"We are not yet lovers in the physical sense, like you and I are," Hannibal says. "We might never be, depending on how things fall."

"One doesn't need to share pleasure to love. Nor must one love all whom share their body." He is proof of that. "A meeting of minds and hearts can be far deeper and more powerful than a meeting of flesh."

"I do love him that way, though," Hannibal says. "I'd want there to be everything between us; together, we make one whole world for us."

Sinric nods and gently brushes a stray lock back from Hannibal's face, looking deep into his beautifully strange eyes. "Then I hope when he comes to take you from your prison, you can share all things, and know each other deeply."

"Thank you," Hannibal says. "It doesn't lessen what we share. The Will Graham who comes to Milliways may not even be the one that I know, and he is further back in time."

In Milliways, there will always be a place with Hannibal, for Sinric.

Sinric offers him a soft, understanding smile but there's a minor note of sadness hidden deep in the back of his eyes. Part of him knows he will never be anyone's first choice.

"I know." He kisses Hannibal sweetly, fingers brushing over the curve of Hannibal's shoulder. "And I thank you for that."

"I thank you, for being there, and being you," Hannibal says, leaning over for another kiss.

Sinric's smile loses its sad edge as he leans to return the kiss gladly and deeply. "It means a lot to me, that you like me for who I am. That you support me for who I am." He demures slightly. "I wear many mask for many men, each of them wanting a different side of me. I love that with you. I can lower all of my masks."

"I wouldn't want you to wear any mask," Hannibal says, "unless I'm in on it, like this."

He gently tugs Sinric's dark hair.

"People need no masks around me, unless they're casual acquaintances and mean nothing. That is so very much not the case with you."

Sinric chuckles softly, toying with the dark curls. "I confess, I like these. I didn't think I've look good so dark."

He looks up into Hannibal's eyes. "You have disarming manner. You make me want to lower every mask, to let every protective lie fall away and lay myself naked for you."

Hannibal strokes the tip of one of Sinric's breasts.

"I like you naked, body and soul," he says. "You are lovely to behold, in both ways."

He moans softly, arching into the touch. "I like the way I look in your eyes. I wish I saw that in the mirror."

"I am a mirror in which you see your potential, rather than your weaknesses," Hannibal says as he continues toying with that nipple. "I like that. It's what I ought to be."

His nipple harden swiftly to the attention, even more sensitive now after his peek. "You have seen me in my darkest times and at my most naked." Sinric whispers in quiet wonder and mounting pleasure. "Many men would use that to their advantage, to take power over me. But you have offered me nothing but kindness and support. You are a rare man, Hannibal."

Hannibal's finger circles the areole, larger than a man's and so receptive.

"Power over you would be a waste," he says. "I'd much rather have you come to me on your own, as you do."

"And very gladly so." Sinric purrs, eyes heavy. "For who else could play me like a fine instrument. To touch me just so to make my body sing so soon after I have fallen."

"It's not that hard," Hannibal murmurs. "It's just that many others don't properly pay attention."

His finger keeps circling.

"It's just not the side of me they wanted or needed. They haven't seen me as you have."

"Of course, you wouldn't want just anybody to see you wholly," Hannibal muses. "Nobody does."

Sinric chuckles, stroking Hannibal's cheek. "And you are by no means just anybody."

"I hope so," Hannibalmsays, smiling.

"Anyone with eyes can see that. You are... singular. Utterly unique." He leans up to kiss Hannibal deeply. "And fascinating to me."

"As you are to me," Hannibal says, after returning the kiss just as deeply. "And I can see us keeping on fascinating each other for quite a while yet."

"I live in hope that I will remain of interest to you. At the very least I can bring you to see the wonders of my world as often as possible." And the wonders of the far east as I discover them."
