slipping away with Ragnar

Sinric leads Ragnar into the bathrooms, glancing around to see if anyone is around before slipping into one of the stalls and closing the door behind them.

"Do you want me to paint your prick with my lips or lift my skirts and take me standing?" He asks with a list-filled purr.

Sinric chokes a bitter laugh at that, his voice rough. "Righteous churchmen. All the same." It's a relief to breath easier and he hastens to their rooms to shed it all.

"I'm sorry, Ragnar. I thought I has control of my fears but-" he swallows a small sob, his breathing still a touch too fast

"Don't be sorry," Ragnar murmurs, kicking their door shut. "It's not something you can control, that is the point."

Pause.

"How about we lie in the furs and just cuddle?"

"Please." He shakes off the last of the complex undergarments, not minding that he tears the fine stockings, he just wants them off.

He lays down in the furs, welcoming the familiar feel of them.

Ragnar takes off his tunic and shirt, and lies down beside Sinric, taking him in his arms again. "Come here and have me as your pillow."

He gently strokes down Sinric's back.

Sinric curls against him, drawing warmth from the press of Ragnar's hard body against him. Like a strong pillar that can support his weight, no matter what. "I'm sorry. I've ruined our evening." He closes his eyes, breathing in Ragnar's scent.

"You didn't," Ragnar says, stretching and puling at the furs, to snuggle down like bears in their winter cave. "The priest did."

There's something wonderfully right about being naked on furs, pressed skin to skin with Ragnar. All that was missing was Athelstan with them.

He rests a hand over Ragnar's heart, tracing a spiraling pattern over Ragnar's chest with the tips of his fingers.

Ragnar sighs, and snuggles.

He misses Athelstan so bitterly -- but that does not make Sinric the smallest bit less important.

Sinric sings softly to still himself, tracing spirals over Ragnar's chest. His fingers are especially drawn to the tattoos, skimming their outlines with fascination.

"Si rid," Ragnar murmurs. "My sweet Sinric."

"Would you... do this for me?" He asks, leaning up on one elbow to kiss the curve of one tattoo on Ragnar's chest. "Mark me? Not anything so big or elaborate but something... something I can see."

"Yes," Ragnar says. "Of course I will. What would you like it to be?"

"I don't know. Something small. Something I and those I trust would see." He closes his eyes for a moment. "Something that will give me an anchor to this place and to you and Athelstan."

He breathes a soft sigh, his voice low. "So I have something to be sure of, if I'm away too long and it starts to feel like a dream."

Ragnar leans over to kiss his temple. "Yes, I can see that," he says. "A little raven with a fish in its fangs, perhaps? Or a raven and a dove?"

"The raven and the dove?" He asks, stroking Ragnar's chest again. "You and Athelstan?"

"Yes," Ragnar says. "The dove is a symbol of the holy ghost of his faith, as the raven is Odin's bird. The fish is another symbol, but that design would refer to our beginnings - me stealing a monk for myself."

"The ikhthýs, yes." Sinric nods. "I see. I like that. Would you do it for me? And where do you think is best? It can't be... too large. And I can't have it until my lord is gone."

"I'll think of something beyond catching him," Ragnar says, "as we've grown far beyond that. You might have it on your lower bellies, so only your lovers see it, except from us. And small enough to cover up with pint before the encounter with one young Viking with big ideas."

He takes Ragnar's hand an lowers it to his hip, to the flat of his belly just above his pubis. "Here?"

Ragnar's hand is rough and warm, and describes a rough circle over Sinric's belly.

"Yes, there," he says. "Perhaps even a bit lower, and to the right or left."

"Here?" He guides Ragnar's hand onto the very top of his thigh. "How large would it need to be?"

"Here," Ragnar says, touching a bit higher again, right beside the soft dip between Sinric's thigh and pubis. "And just two inches across, at the most."

Sinric sighs warmly. "I would like that, very much. Does it hurt very greatly? Perhaps Athelstan will help me to be still as you do."

"A little," Ragnar says. "Not very greatly. And of course he would help. He wants one as well -- a little raven over his heart."

Sinric smiles warmly and leans up to steal a kiss. "How very perfect. Will you have a dove to match?"
