slipping away with Ragnar

Sinric leads Ragnar into the bathrooms, glancing around to see if anyone is around before slipping into one of the stalls and closing the door behind them.

"Do you want me to paint your prick with my lips or lift my skirts and take me standing?" He asks with a list-filled purr.

"Someone from the past," Ragnar says. "Who knows, Sinric, we might yet find you after all."

"Oh, they do", Childermass says with a quick crooked smile, gathering the cards back up and reshuffling the pack. "And now it is your turn. Ready?"

"I await your magic, sir." Sinric nods with the smallest note of trepidation.

"I am curious what the cars will say, too," Ragnar adds.

He decides to give Sinric the same spread as Ragnar.

"Your present situation." The Two of Swords. "Waiting. Maybe trying to find balance."

"Just so." Sinric sighs. "Waiting for a day I wish would never come."

"But will, inevitably," Ragnar says, tightening his arm around Sinric.

"Obstacles and opposition." The card laid across the first is the Devil. "This can mean bondage, and I know of your status. But it can also mean human failings - greed, lust, anger - and those may or may not be yours."

The image frightened Sinric, as does the prediction and he shrinks a little into Ragnar's embrace.

Ragnar holds him, and briefly leans his cheek against Sinric's hair. "We know you will come through," he murmurs.

He leaves the business of comforting to Ragnar. The cards will say what they say.

"The very near future." The Eight of Coins. "Studying or preparation for a new path."

"That I have much to do and have begun already." That at least eases him a little.

"Yes, thanks to this place," Ragnar agrees.

"The basis of the situation." The Tower. "Dramatic change is coming, but that you know."

"The death of my beloved lord will bring dramatic change to the entire Eastern Empire. And much of the west." Sinric intones softly. "The fate of a single bed slave seems insignificant compared to that."

"You know how important you are, in the long run," Ragnar says, softly.

"The fate of a bed slave is not insignificant to the bed slave, and this is your reading, not your world's."

The Nine of Coins.

"The past situation. Security, and success by your own efforts."

Sinric forces a small smile and leans into Ragnar. "You are important. I just suggest a path to you."

He listens with a smile that grows a little sadder still. "And love. I have been very fortunate."

"You are important," Ragnar says. "To us, at the very least."

Childermass restrains himself from rolling his eyes at the public affection, concentrating as he draws the next card, the Knight of Coins.

"The next few months. Cautious and steady work towards a goal, perhaps involving a young man with dark hair and eyes."

Sinric ducks his head, aware of the discomfort they are causing Childermass and returns his attention to the cards (While not leaning away from Ragnar's warmth at all.)

"My brother Probus perhaps. I have hoped to find a way to warn him of what is to come."

"Or Yan, perhaps?" Ragnar suggests.

[manofbusiness]

"I do not know", Childermass says simply, and moves on. The Nine of Swords.

"Your state of mind. Anguish - for your lord's coming death, I would suppose - anxiety and worry, perhaps for your brother? Or your friend, or both."

"Oh yes. Yan would makes sense."

The reading of the next card sobers him and he nods. "For all of us. Leo's assertion will endanger many I hold dear."

"You have to go," Ragnar nods, "but it will be painful to let them go."

Once more, he squeezes Sinric's shoulder to comfort him.
