The acoustic in the tavern of Ribe were excellent for storytelling, passing sound down the hall just right.

Sinric was sprawled on a bench, holding court as he told his tale.

It was the story of Baldr, most beautiful and beloved of all the gods.

But with a twist. For everyone knew the story of Loki’s jealousy and Baldr’s death and the hands of the much maligned mistletoe, but what became of Baldr’s earthly family.

“For like many of the gods, Baldr walked among men, loved and been loved. For who could not love Baldr as soon as see him? Men had raised sons and daughters proudly, knowing their fair hair and sea blue eyes had been a gift from the shining one.”

“But Baldr’s death had sent a shudder through the land. And even those who did not know they descended from the bright god had wept and wept. Just as all the objects, alive and dead, wept to free him from Hel’s hall. All but the Sly One. “

He took a dramatic breath, hand over his heart to relive such a suffering. “The children of Baldr wept and wept till they made lakes of their homes. They wept so hard that their shining beauty faded and their eyes, once blue as the calm seas turned white as snow or dark as earth for all the water in them was wept away.”

Sinric held the crowd spellbound with his words, letting them wonder if this strange creature with his dark eyes and his odd looks was in fact a child of Baldr.

“And so they go still, Baldr’s tear-wrung descendants, till Ragnarök when he and his brother Höðr will make a new world and beauty will return.” He lifts his mead cup in salute. “Baldr!”

“Baldr!” Many voices call back, giving the skald a chance to wet his parched throat.

Sinric looks around the room as many voices come together to fill the silence after his story and more drinking goes on.

"You will have all of me you desire soon enough." Sinric promises, laughing.

He gives Ragnar a gentle push and reaches for something by the bed, a little ceramic bottle.

Ragnar sheds his breeches and shoes and stands before him, stark naked and very aroused.

Sinric watches him for a long moment, lips curled in a hungry smile as he looks Ragnar's over. Oh yes!

He stands slowly and undresses himself, the courtesan's grace and flair not lost in him.

He stands before Ragnar in all his own strangeness - straddling the line between the sexes.

Ragnar' eyes wander up and down Sinric's body hungrily -- and then are caught, with intense fascination, by what he can see between Sinric's legs.

Sinric gestures Ragnar closer and draws him into a kiss. Hands on Ragnar's shoulder, he guides Ragnar to his knees before him. Let Ragnar sate his curiosity up close.

Ragnar kneels so very willingly, lifting his hand to touch what he sees there. Nothing like what you would find on a man, or a woman! Instead, flesh that is much like a small snail, in size and shape.

He strokes along it, marvelling.

Sinric gasps, his hands on Ragnar's shoulder, rubbing small circles with his thumbs. "No fear, no shame, just discovery." He whispers, his voice soft and lyrical.

The little organ starts to swell, to harden.

Both of this encourages Ragnar to slowly lick the tip of that little organ.

Sinric moans a softly word of encouragement in Greek but the desire behind it is unmistakable. His dark eyes flutter closed, allowing himself just to feel.

Ragnar licks along the entire brief length of Sinric's small organ, as if curiously tasting it.

Sinric rewards the gesture with rich, warm moan. Fingers tighten in Ragnar's hair, not guiding or pulling, just feeling.

Apparently, this was a good thing, so Ragnar does it again, with more enthusiasm and vigour.

"Just so, Ragnar." Sinric purrs breathlessly. "Just so. Such pleasure is rare for me but powerful and wonderful."

Ragnar licks, and then dares to put his lips around the wondrous little thing, and suckle.

"Yes! Oh sweet Ragnar, yes." Sinric groans, his hips bucking ever so slightly under the attention. He is as hard as he can be now and breathless with the pleasure of it.

It only drives Sinric wilder with desire. And love, for he has and will always love Ragnar.

Sinric gasps, fingers digging into Ragnar's shoulders as he spills onto Ragnar's tongue. It bubbles over in him in a joyous laugh.

Ragnar tastes it, and marvels.

"You are very ready to this," he says. "Come, let us lie down together."

"As are you." Sinric smiles, drawing Ragnar up into a kiss. "Thank you. Not everyone is so open to new experiences as you."

He lays down in a descendant sprawl, welcoming Ragnar to lay against him. He runs his hand up Ragnar's thigh, teasing the lower curve of his balls.

Ragnar lies beside him, running his hand down Sinric's front.

He spreads his legs to allow Sinric access.
