Sinric tumbles through a door. Not his own nor Hannibal's but near and open. He pulls Hannibal with him, pushing the door closed without a backwards glance. The room is dark and richly furnished, finished in oxblood and gilt. All of which Sinric ignores as he pulls at Hannibal's clothes, eager for skin between passionate kisses.

Sinric flushes at the complement but shakes his head. "Let me tend you, at least. If they're cleaned, they won't scar."

"It won't scar much," Hannibal says, "and I don't mind having it for a bit."

Sinric shakes his head. "You and I both have scars enough. I would rather leave my mark here," He rests his hand over Hannibal's heart. "Or here." He strokes Hannibal's temple.

"You have done that," Hannibal says, "but it is all inside."

He takes Hannibal's hand and guides it to the scars on his shoulder, the kanji cut into his skin. "I have the marks of a lover who sought to leave a lasting memento. I would rather have you in my heart and cut to my skin."

He very gently touches the scratches he's left on Hannibal's chest. "But I can't stop you from enjoying a lasting mark, if you want it."

"It will fade soon," Hannibal says, "shallow as it is. But while it is there, it will make me think of you."

Sinric nods and leans back further, looking down at the long scratches. He traces the marks with care. "I didn't know I was capable of such violent passions."

"I loved to finally see them," Hannibal says.

Sinric catches a drop of bright blood as it beads just below Hannibal's nipple. "It is you who brings it out in me. You, who knows me so well and can inflame my passions to heights I didn't were in me."

He gives Hannibal a half smile and kisses him. "There was a time I would fear that but I've come to relish and appreciate it deeply."

"I am glad that I helped you learn to fear less," Hannibal says, returning the kiss.

"Fear less." He nods, touching his blooded finger to his tongue. "And desire more."

"Oh yes," Hannibal says. "That, too."

He watches Sinric licking that blood, softly biting his own lip as he does so.

Sinric watches his expression with curiosity, not shrinking from the hunger in it. He looks down to see the smears on his own breast. He wipes at one with his damn finger before offering it to Hannibal.

Hannibal licks it, and smiles.

"There's something in your eyes, Hannibal." Sinric rubs his thumb slowly over Hannibal's lips, leaning in to replace it with a kiss. "Something powerful, compelling." He flexes, Hannibal still inside him.

Hannibal smiles, and kisses him again.

Sinric smiles and strokes a hand through Hannibal's hair. "Would you wash with me?"

"A bath, perhaps?" Hannibal suggsts.

"I'd like that." He stands with care, grimacing a little at the sensation of Hannibal slipping from him. He stands, his knees still shaky and weak.

Hannibal looks around as if for the first time.

"If this room stays true to style," he says, "it will have a large claw-footed bathtub, black and white tiles, and faucets shaped like dolphins' heads. And the toilet seat will be black."

"You know these room?" He asks curiously, offering Hannibal his hand up.

Hannibal stands, and stretches. "No," he says. "But this kind of style."

"Does it have a name, this style?" He pads towards the bathroom, which is exactly as Hannibal described it. Dolphin taps and all. He rests his knee on the edge of the bath to run the water, his long lean back elegant in the bathroom's soft light.
