Sinric leads Ragnar to his own small room rather than their shared space. There's something more... intimate about it. And it reminds him less of the emptiness where Athelstan should be.

He pulls Ragnar close, lacing his arms around Ragnar's waist and pushes up on his toes to kiss him.

"Yes," Ragnar gasps, thrusting faster. "Yes! Oh yes! Yes, that!"

Sinric bites softly, leaving another warm read mark on Ragnar's skin.

That sharp sensation is enough to drive Ragnar over the edge again, making him thrash and moan as he spills.

Sinric moans as the feeling fills him, the hear and power of it.

He leans in to kiss Ragnar softly. "Thank you."

Ragnar is still panting on the way down, and unable to speak; but he hums agreement.

Sinric strokes Ragnar's hair, singing softly to him as he comes down.

"Sinric," he says, softly.

"My lovely Ragnar." Sinric whispers, stealing a soft kiss to the corner of Ragnar's lips. "My beloved one."

"I love you," Ragnar murmurs.

Even if differently from the way he loves Athelstan.

"As I love you." He answers softly. Their love has always been a complexly woven thing, like the tattoos on their skin. "And I will love you again when I find you."

"And here, before that, I hope!" Ragnar says, his arms tightening around Sinric.

"As do I." He smiles sadly, clinging just as tightly. "But there are no promises once the door is opened. Only that I will love you, and find you so you may find Athelstan."

"And then, I need to find him again as he is lost," Ragnar says.

"We are bound, the three of us. We will get lost, but we will find each other again." In this life or the next.

"I hope we will," Ragnar says. "I don't want a world without Athelstan in it."

Sinric presses a soft finger to Ragnar's lips, following it with a kiss. "Trust yourself. You'll reach him."

Ragnar drops his head over Sinric's shoulder, and sighs.

"Thanks."

Sinric runs his hands through Ragnar's hair, holding him close. He slides a hand over to give the tattoo. "We are bound. In love and in fate. No matte where I am, I know you will be with me."

"You will live at least until you meet me, all young and innocent," Ragnar says. He drops a kiss on Sinric's shoulder. "But from there on out, all our fates rest in the hands of the gods again."

"And in our own hands." He reminds Ragnar softly, lifting off to lay beside him.

"I look forward to meeting the wide-eyed farmer who dreams of other lands."

"I was so young and naive!" Ragnar says, shaking his head. "You'll be so amused."

"I shall be sure to be gentle with you." Sinric grins, stroking Ragnar's cheek.

"You were," Ragnar says. "And you knew uncannily well what I like. Well, uncanny to me."

"Ah. So this-" he kisses Ragnar's throat, ghosting a hand over his chest. "Is all practice for our first meeting. Tell me, Ragnar? Will I be your first man?"

"Well, apart from youthful fumbling and threesomes, yes," Ragnar admits.
