Sinric leads Ragnar up to their rooms, laughing softly as the Viking drags his feet.

"Get out of your dirty clothes and I'll run you a bath." He draws Ragnar in, standing in his tiptoes to kiss the corner of Ragnar's lips.

Sinric laughs softly, kissing Ragnar's shoulder. "Perhaps we should follow it with a nap."

"Not in the bath, though."

Sinric laughs and pushes up to kiss Ragnar's cheek warmly. "No, not in the bath. In the furs when you're ready."

"Just a little bit more," Ragnar says. "What do the moderns say? Five minutes?"

He doesn't really know what minutes are, let alone seconds.

Sinric, who seems to have found his second wind, kisses Ragnar again before pushing off across the bath to start washing his own hair. He sings softly as he does, still prettily flushed and happy.

Ragnar watches him, idly, liking what he sees. Like a cat happily digesting the canary.

Aware of Ragnar's eyes on him and unselfish-consciously enjoying it, he lifts his voice to sing. A sweet, simple song about a maiden washing her hair by a river but it suits his voice and his mood.

Ragnar lies back and watches, then reaches up to touch his own loose hair.

Sinric smiles at him over his shoulder, rinsing off and gently ringing the water out.

He keeps singing, bringing a handsome stranger to the side of the river, to catch sight of the bathing maid.

Ragnar shakes his hair, leans back, and grins.

He rinses his hair out once more before he's happy with it, singing all along. The handsome stranger creeps closer, hoping to catch the maid unawares but much to his surprise, the maid turns into a crane and flies away.

Ragnar laughs at that turn in the story Sinric's song is telling.

Sinric laughs too and comes over, gently straddling Ragnar's lap as he sings the last lines of the tune, warning of the dangers of watching young maidens wash lest you lose them to the skies.

Ragnar takes him in his arms and kisses him deeply when the song ends.

Sinric leans into the kiss, warm and smiling as he rests his arms on Ragnar's shoulders. "I take it my song met your approval?"

"Very much so," Ragnar says, holding him, then stealing another kiss.

"I live to please." He smiles into the kiss, returning it gladly. "Shall we move to the furs? Or would you like to soak some more?"

"Furs, please," Ragnar says, stretching.

Sinric steals a long, loving kiss and stands, offering Ragnar his hand. "Furs then."

Ragnar takes his hand, and smoothly stands in the shallow water.

His hair is still dripping.

Sinric steps out to fetch towel, holding one out to Ragnar in offer to dry him.

Even with the water rung from his hair, drops still slide down the nape of Sinric's neck, down the slopes of his collarbone and breasts. Painters would weep to have him model for them.

Ragnar simply smiles, knowing that he likes what he sees, and steps out of the tub as well.

Sinric smiles and dries Ragnar off. Just as intently as he washed Ragnar and takes his time with Ragnar's hair. "May I comb this for you before I rebraid it?" He loves seeing Ragnar's hair out and flowing.

"Yes, that would be very helpful," Ragnar says. "Where do you want me?"

"On the bed." He suggests, stealing a quick kiss. "I can sit behind you and comb it out."
