"The bear fur", he says with a trace of a smile. "The things she can do..."

"She is magic after all." Sinric answers, setting his bells aside. "If it's too much, that's okay. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable."

"I will be anything but uncomfortable here", he says quietly. "If you're as patient as I know you will be."

Sinric nods and takes the crutch, guiding Athelstan toward the bed. "We have all night, longer if you desire. There is no rush, no need to hurry."

He kneels at Athelstan's feet, taking his shoes off for him and slipping off his own light slippers.

He settles on the bed, lying on his side.

"You could ease my muscles again, perhaps."

"I hoped to. It must be very hard on your legs, the way you have to walk while you're healing. Will you allow me to take off your pants, so I can better ease the muscles."

Athelstan nods.

"I have no shame being bared to your eyes."

Sinric helps him out of his pants, stroking the skin of his hip gently. He fetches the oil from the bathroom and warms it between his hands before laying them on Athelstan's calves.

He works slowly, easing into a deep massage and seeking out the overworked and stained muscles.

His legs are still showing the traces of faded bruising from the beating he took, but the warm oil soothes those too.

He groans softly as Sinric's fingers dig into his muscles, but there's more relief in it than pain.

Sinric kisses Athelstan's hip as he works, working in steady circles. "Tell me if I'm hurting you, please?" He whispers, working down to Athelstan's ankles and back up to his thigh.

He gently encourages him to roll onto his stomach so he can work on the other leg.

"I think you must hurt me to do good", he whispers back, rolling over obediently. "But it's not only pain."

"Tell me how you feel?" He asks softly, stroking softy with the hand not massaging.

"The muscles protest being treated so", he murmurs. "But then as they relax, the ache fades away."

"Good." Sinric whispers, pressing a kiss to the tip of Athelstan's thigh. "I hope the protests pass quickly and the relaxation takes hold."

He finishes Athelstan's legs and works up into his rear and lower back, stopping short of where the healing marks cross his back. "When these are healed well enough, I will see to your back also. But until then, I fear I may do more damage than good.

He moved then to slide Athelstan's shirt over his head, guiding him into his side to massage his shoulders, neck and down his arms.

He nods into the pillow, letting Sinric put him wherever he wants him - and oh, that does feel good.

"Best not risk reopening the cuts."

Sinric sheds his overtunic, laying down at Athelstan's front to work slow circles into the muscles of his chest, careful of the bandages.

His underdress is fine white linen that drapes and falls around Sinric's lithe form, obscuring little. With his nipples small and hard thorough the soft cloth and a shadow falling between his thighs, there is nothing to mark him out as male, but a beautiful girl, fair and sweet.

He works his hands gently over Athelstan's pecs, finding the tightness that pulls at his neck and shoulders. "I should fetch a cloth when I'm done, to clean off the oil." But he doesn't want to lift his hands off Athelstan yet.

Athelstan doesn't want him to either, groaning as Sinric works over his strained muscles.

"Does it not rub in?"

"Some, but not all. And I have been generous with it so the pain is less and the skin doesn't pull as much." He explains, dropping a small kiss in the side of Athelstan's throat.

He nods gratefully, tipping his head without thought to expose more of his throat, because that's always been a sensitive point for him.

"Finish first, then, as we have all night. And if it's not wiped away... the bear fur won't be hurt by it."

Sinric hums and makes the most of the bared throat, kissing and nibbling, even as he keeps massaging. "Very true but I could go all night and might not get all of the knots from your muscles. But I will try."

"You'll still have me better than when we started", he says, soft and grateful, and kisses the nearest spot of Sinric's skin.

The loose underdress sits opens at the shoulder, exposing the milky skin of Sinric's neck and collarbone. He sighs softly at the kiss, his hands alternating between massaging and caressing Athelstan's chest. "If I can ease your pain even a little, I will be glad."

"You already have." He reaches up to stroke that exposed skin with his fingers now, the touches more hesitant than they would have been before.

The slight shift in Sinric's breathing lets Athelstan know the touch is most welcome. He lets his eyes drift closed a moment, just enjoying as he slides his hands over Athelstan's chest, clever thumbs easing aching strains.

"Sinric", he whispers, not arching up into Sinric's hands but enjoying them just as much. "You'll stay with me, come what may?"
